9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. 10 Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. 11 Give us this day our daily bread. 12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. 13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen. Matthew 6:9-13
The Lord’s Prayer is also a call to ACTION
Address God’s rightful place as the Father (Holy is His Name)
Worship and praise God for who He is and all that He has done (Daily Bread)
Acknowledge that God is in control
Forgive us as we forgive others
Declare the things that God has already promised
Confess our sins and repent
Request protection and help from the attacks of the enemy.
Speak only the Kingdom
As you read this Scripture, remember the response that is being asked of us all. Let it penetrate your heart. Open your mouth and talk to God. Read this prayer out loud daily as a reminder of what our response should be to the Lord's Prayer.
